Role description
The Quality Assurance Engineer will serve as part of Software QA team, responsible for testing and quality assurance of all aspects of company’s software and service. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be working closely with development during the design and implementation of new features. This includes test scoping, design, implementation, execution, debugging, and automation. You will work within a team utilizing an agile development methodology composed of smart, motivated people skilled in Product Management, Development and QA.
Responsibilities
Creation of test designs, test processes, test cases and test data.
In-sprint automation for all the user stories planned in the iteration.
Execute the test case as per the defined procedures in test management tool (ZEPHYR FOR JIRA).
100% of individual contribution towards the product development in the Agile team.
Participate in walkthroughs of testing procedures.
Report issues in defect tracking tool (JIRA) with detailed information along with the screenshot.
Follow up on open issues, keep updating the progress on the respective tools (JIRA).
Ensure that all testing related work is carried out as per the defined standards and procedures.
Maintaining the regression suite then and there when there is changes in any existing features and test data.
Regularly updating the progress of tasks in user story.
Requirements
Good knowledge on different testing approaches.
Strong knowledge on software testing types and the ways to apply them.
Excellent in manual testing web and mobile applications.
Previous experience on automation testing on front-end application or web services using Protractor / Cypress.
Hands on in developing Regression test suites for REST APIs using Rest Assured.
Capability to understand complex product architecture and manage the testing activities of the product.
Capability to identify the correct automation tools for the product needs.
Analytical mindset to define the strength and weakness of the product and to validate it against different working scenarios to detect errors.
Mentoring the team members and build the skills.
Should be able to write complex SQL queries.
Nice to have
Experience in Mobile UI automation such as Appium, UI Automator or Selandroid.
Knowledge is data modelling & data analytics.
Understanding of SQL/relational database concepts and proficient is writing complex database queries.
